The Korean Studies major was established to nurture glocal experts equipped with theoretical and empirical analysis capabilities through an interdisciplinary approach to Korea and Korean culture. Korean studies majors can strengthen their ability to build up the convergent knowledge on Korea, create K-contents and develop global cooperation through the curriculum of understanding the universality and uniqueness of Korea. After graduation, students majoring in Korean Studies can advance into cultural contents planning, Korean/Asian companies, media, and NGO/international organization planning/activities.
Education Objective

The Korean Studies major aims to train glocal experts on Korea and its culture. To this end, the Korean Studies major curriculum will develop their abilities as local experts to understand Korea's past and present in depth through convergent thinking about Korea's universality and specificity, and strengthen their creative content planning abilities through understanding and analysis of Korean studies. Based on these capabilities, the specific goal is to cultivate talented people who can communicate with Korea as well as the world.
