Germany is an exemplary social welfare state in the world and is influential in Europe based on its strong economic power. Since the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990, Germany's role and status in the international community have been increasing day by day by day. Germany is a highly advanced country with advanced academic, cultural, artistic, and scientific technology, and is understood as a "country of poets and thinkers" or a "country of learning and science." 100 million people in Germany, Switzerland and Austria use German as their first language. In addition, German is used as a second language in the Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Russia Union. In Russia, German is widely used as a foreign language. Through intensive learning of the German language, German literature, and German studies (German politics, economy, society, history, art, culture, environment, etc.), German language proficiency and German culture are improved. The following major courses are provided.

If you major in German, you will have many opportunities to work as professionals in the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Trade, a number of international organizations related to Germany and Eastern Europe, NGOs, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Eastern European embassies and consular offices. Recently, the demand for German and Eastern European-related personnel has increased in various media and broadcasting media, and opportunities to enter this field are also expanding. In addition, it is easy to enter Korea's interpretation and translation graduate schools, international graduate schools of major universities, general graduate schools related to Germany, and educational graduate schools.
