Korean Language Education major aims to nurture excellent Korean language teachers and to conduct progressive research on teaching Korean as a foreign language. The major offers not only theoretical education, but also systematic practical training in on-going class observation and mock classes to help future teachers learn practical teaching skills, based on humanistic literacy and open-mindedness toward other cultures.
Education Objective

The specific education goals of Korean Language Education major are as follows:
First, fostering specialists equipped with comprehensive understanding in Korean langauge and Korean culture
Second, cultivating professionals in producing creative educational contents based on systematic research on Korean language and culture
Third, nurturing desirable teachers who will lead the knowledge-based global society

Specialites

Students can complete the major only as a second major. Also, students can acquire the level two Licese for Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language only if a total of forty-five or more credits are completed by following the major’s inner regulations.
