I am Min Jae-hong, the 13th President of Duksung Women's University.

Duksung Women's University was founded in 1920 on the educational philosophy of Cha Mi-ri-sa, an independence activist and pioneering advocate for women. Since then, we have walked a trailblazing path in women's education, dedicated to illuminating the era and transforming society.

The founding spirit — "Live, but live your own life. Think, but think with your own mind. Know, but know through your own awakening." — remains deeply engraved in the hearts of every member of the Duksung community and lives on through the learning and growth of each individual.

Building upon the enduring principles of Duksung education, I am committed to championing "Bright Duksung" as we embark on a new era of progress.

I believe the role of the president is to restore Balance so that no one is left behind, to provide institutional support for a culture of Respect, and to strengthen transparent decision-making and open deliberation structures.

The student stands at the center of education.

Through "Duksung X+AI" — an educational innovation in which every major takes center stage and AI becomes a powerful wing of learning — Duksung will cultivate the competencies needed in a rapidly changing world.

To prospective students and their families, we pledge to respond with rigorous, major-focused education and meaningful support for growth, so that learning at Duksung becomes a foundation for future competitiveness.

Under the principle that university governance must be built on trust, we will transparently share and institutionalize key policies and financial information, and establish a democratic governance structure in which outcomes are made public.

Duksung is moving forward to open new horizons as "a prepared university pursuing future value."

Grounded in the "Duksung AI Initiative" — which applies AI across education, research, and administration — we will build a more intelligent campus, a more efficient support system, and a sustainable university where everyone grows together.

Together with our students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and all members of our local community who cherish and support Duksung, we will open a brighter tomorrow for Duksung.
