To provide a global perspective and promote cultural understanding about Korea and the far east, DSWU offers a Korean & Asian Studies Program. All courses are given in English and are opened for both Korean and international students. Through this program students will be able to explore various aspects of Korean & Asian culture and will be able to have a deeper under standing about East Asia overall. The courses include but are not limited to

International Students can learn Korean Language and culture indepth through the Intensive Korean Language Curriculum Provided by the Global Education Institute. Language courses are divided into 6 different levels, and all students from who have no knowledge of Korean Language to those intending to pursuit to an advanced level are welcome to participate in the course. Each class will be consisted of less than 15 students. Exchange students are eligible to take this course exempted from tuition.
Each international student will be matched with a Duksung Buddy. Duksung Buddies will introduce you to campus life and help you adjust to the Korean culture and language. Most of all, they are friends with opened minds who are willing to learn your culture and share their experience with you. They will coordinate many activities throughout the semester that can enhance your stay in Korea.
Duksung International Affairs opens a events for international students every months throughout the academic year. These events include International Food Festival, Korean Movie Night, visiting a national baseball game, field trips and other cultural activities. Through these activities students have a chance to experience Korean culture as well as share their culture from their own
DSWU has 35 registered student organizations and a variety of student clubs that cover a wide range of topics and interest areas, including but not limited to: academic, art, cultural, religious, social, and sports and leisure. Participating in student organizations will provide opportunities to connect with other students, develop social networks, explore arts and culture, and stay engaged in campus life.
